Air Travel
Having been on the road (or air) for a while, I sometimes wonder when I get out of sleep whether I am in my home, hotel or in a plane. I hare red-eye cross country trips as I can barely sleep sitting. I am irritated at most airlines providing the slightest of inclination, which your body barely registers and harly lulls you to sleep. My fellow travellers are gifted to sleep even standing, so they just go snoring even before the flight takes off. I've tried many things to get some sleep, but more I try the more I am awake. Some of my friends in Chennai, used to commute from Chengalput and Nanganallor to the city. They would sleep the moment they board their commute, either sitting or standing. They would automatically wake up, sleep walk a bit to their work and fresh enough to get to work. I always wondered how this is humanly possible. Anyway, back to air travel. After many such travels, I've learned the trick now and I am able to get some sleep. Not the sound ones like my friends, but just enough to not yawn in front of my clients in a morning meeting. I'd like to hear what others who read this think about this and how they cope with this.
